To reclaim is to take that which is worthless and make it beautiful and productive again. An overgrown garden with dried dandelions can appear to be worthless. However, when the Master Gardener begins to blow the seeds, our lives suddenly “wake up” and start to take root in gardens we never dreamed we could inhabit.

Introduction from Identity Crisis: Reclaim the True You

Most of us have been led to believe that we are spiritual orphans or servants. There’s good reasons for this. When the serpent lied to Adam and Eve and told them God was holding out on them, rather than protecting them, they believed his lie and took the fruit from the forbidden tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. The serpent was so successful at thwarting God’s first beloved children, he’s used the same playbook ever since, starting as young as when we are in the womb.

Here’s the truth however: We have a heavenly father, a father who loves us perfectly, unconditionally and is overwhelmingly present with us. He is always working to bring about our best, and to bring us into the place we all long to experience: love, peace and joy! To know that we have been created with divine designs that reflect God and bring us into lives of purpose as we walk out our birthright destinies.

We aren’t passive bystanders in our faith and daily lives. We have been created to partner with our Creator to reclaim our lives, families and culture into a reality of “heaven on earth.”

We aren’t servants. We have been created to live as “royal heirs” in our Heavenly Father’s household and all the resources of his home are also ours. We have an unlimited inheritance that will never run dry, be affected by the economy, or our status in life.

We also know that we were created to “Eat from the Tree of Life.” The Tree of Life satisfies our deepest desires, fills us with continual awareness and experience of God, and impacts our health, our resources and our relationships.

We realize that “good is the enemy of God’s best.” Few of us will ever intentionally engage evil, but most of us have adopted the lie that “good is good enough.”

This is one of the biggest lies we can ever believe because when we accept good enough, we are keeping the door locked to experiencing the best life God created us to live.

Don’t stay in the good enough. Accept God’s invitation to discover your reclaimed identities as beloved children in his family, heirs in his royal household and life givers as one who lives in deep intimacy with Jesus’ the Bridegroom.

Jesus modeled valuable lessons for us in each stage of identity (Learn about the 5 Stages here). His actions help us identify the pitfalls, give us strategies for the challenges, and provide us with tips for how to navigate the route through earthly success and failure.

When we apply Jesus’ practical lessons to our lives, we discover ourselves reaching for success which ultimately satisfies the longings of our hearts.

We walk with spirit taking the lead, followed by soul and body.
